Analog repair & restoration, done right.

The Garage is our bench for analog audio gear — tape machines, cassette decks, turntables, and outboard. We troubleshoot, service, recalibrate, and fully restore the machines that deserve some TLC.

Most standard jobs are completed and back to you in 2–4 weeks, depending on scope and our current workload.

Inside a restoration.

We don’t just get gear running again — we bring it back to spec and measure to prove it, whatever’s on the bench. Take this Tascam 34B: here’s its calibrated frequency response across all four channels, shown at both of the deck’s tape speeds — dialed in as close to the machine’s original spec as it gets:

Tascam 34B frequency response before calibration (7.5 IPS)
7.5 IPSStandard-play speed
Tascam 34B frequency response after calibration (15 IPS)
15 IPSHigh-speed mode

Calibrated to a professional 355 nWb/m reference on fresh ATR Master Tape. That same measure-and-verify rigor goes into every job that crosses the bench — turntables, cassette decks, mics, and outboard equipment alike. This is the difference between gear that just runs and gear that truly performs.
